Cruise Description |
4 Night Cruise sailing from San Cristobal to Baltra aboard Solaris.
This itinerary packs some of the Galapagos Island's best sites into five days, giving a good overview of the the southern part of the archipelago. Champion Islet and Bartolome are two of the most popular snorkelling sites, where you can swim with fishing penguins, sea lions and turtles. The birdlife on this route is abundant, as you'll get to spot albatrosses, booby colonies, flamingos, flightless cormorants and much more. Other sites include Gardner Bay, Suarez Point, Cormorant Point, Champion Islet and Post Office Bay.
DAY 1 AM Arrival at San Cristóbal Airport
You have to pay your Galapagos National Park entrance fee and your luggage will be inspected.
PM Interpretation Centre (San Cristóbal)
The interpretation centre just outside Puerto Baquerizo forms the engaging supplement of your cruise.
DAY 2 AM Gardner Bay (Española)
Being one of the crown jewels of Galapagos, Española gives you the exclusive opportunity to become eyewitness of evolution.
PM Suarez Point (Española)
Española’s west tip is a true birdwatcher’s and photographer’s dream. Feel yourself right within an exciting nature documentary, and hike in short distance past most colourful marine iguanas.
DAY 3 AM Cormorant Point
Please don’t expect flightless cormorants at Cormorant Point (they live in the West Galapagos). Instead, you may spot Galapagos penguins or a flamingo lagoon against a backdrop of extinct tuff cones and scented palo santo bushes.
PM Post Office Bay & Baroness Lookout
Bring your postcards and post them in the peculiar traditional barrel on this historic site that seems to be located at the end of the world.
DAY 4 AM Sullivan Bay (Santiago)
Sullivan bay is incomparable to any other visitor’s site; setting foot at the recently solidified lava flow is like landing on the moon!.
PM Bartolomé
This tiny volcano islet is just recently born out off fire. Enter its wild romantic setting of spatter cones and craters, see most famous panorama of Galapagos.
DAY 5 AM Black Turtle Cove (Santa Cruz)
This beautiful and tranquil bay is actually not a landing site, but is the ideal spot for a dinghy (panga) exploration.
PM Transfer to Baltra Airport
Assisted by the naturalist guide and some crew members the dinghy will bring you and your luggage to Baltra, where we take the airport shuttle. Your guide will accompany you until the check-in counters in the departure hall. |
